It is now Monday, July 20th.......my ordering policy is to have orders within 10 days from the posting of the proofs so by the end of July, orders should be on their way to me in the mail. Jay Huster has an order form which can be printed and filled out and apparently she will collect the orders for me (unless you really feel like spending money on a stamp). Custom Posters are available and samples can be seen in their own gallery here in the Sports category. New this year are BigShots (Wall Hogs) and, as always, the prints look great and all images will be cropped nice and tight and color corrected to get the best possible print. Please order by IMAGE#...(NOT THE SEQUENCE # OF THE PHOTO IN THE GALLERY). To navigate this site, up in the right hand corner you will see a 'style'. I use either 'all thumbs', 'traditional', or 'smugmug'........and if you've got some time and your favorite snack, the 'slideshow' works well also. There are 2 materials for the backing material....vinyl and tex. I am using the tex material exclusively because of the higher quality of the product and it's ability to stand up to being moved around on different wall locations. ATLL Nationals in Hamilton (see new ordering info inside) : Hey Nationals players, parents, family and fans............here is your gallery. As you can see, I was just a tad busy on the field shooting close to 1500 images. ALL IMAGES WILL BE COLOR CORRECTED PRIOR TO PRINTING. Don't worry....any images just a little dark will be fine and some a little over exposed will be fine. I could have gone thru and fixed them but I'd rather just get the gallery up and worry about it later. All images will also be cropped nice and tight. You will see some images that have been cropped within a sequence of photos (such as a slide into home plate, etc.) which should give you an idea what the final print will look like. I will post ordering information by tomorrow..........for now simply enjoy the photos. The slideshow works pretty good but I wouldn't recommend it for 1500 images. Cincy Flames in Hamersville : 2 games.......1649 images! I was just a bit busy on the baseball field but had a blast shooting the team. I will be going thru the images and cropping where necessary, etc and should have them ready by next weekend around July 25th or so. ATLL Juniors : Hello ATLL Juniors players,parents, family and fans.........here is your gallery (finally). I had a computer issue I had to take care of. Anyhow, up in the right hand corner you will see a 'style'...I use either 'all thumbs', 'traditional' or 'smugmug'. As for ordering, I will email Coach Clark an order form which he can forward to the team. It can be printed, filled out and mailed back to me and the process works pretty easily. Today is Friday July 17th.....my order policy is to have all orders in to me within 10 days so we will just use Saturday the 28th as the order deadline. All prints will be cropped, color corrected, etc prior to printing and the finished product looks very nice. Custom Posters are available and can be seen in the "Custom Sports Posters" gallery here in the sports category (down just a bit from this gallery). If you're looking at getting a poster, please send me an email or give me a call so we can discuss some details. I was going to delete out a few of the 'misses' but I figured out that Brandon numbered the images in order which means the file# is the same as the 'sequence #' which makes life easier for everyone ordering. My only request for ordering is that orders be placed within the next 10 days which means by July 22nd, orders should be in the mail. Wall Hogs have 2 options for backing material....vinyl and a tex-material. The vinyl does not hold up nearly as well as the tex so to keep our products high-quality, we're going to only use the tex material. I will be changing that brochure soon and had forgotten about the pricing on the page until Matt just brought it to my attention. Our tournament special that our other teams have been grabbing up, is a TEAM-DVD which is ALL the images here in the gallery put onto one DVD along with a print release for only $250. Now.....is each DVD $250? Nope. The team decides how to split the $250 among yourselves and I'll burn as many DVD's as you need and send them out in the mail to you. Between an entire team it comes out to about $20 a player AND YOU GET THEM ALL!! Wall Hogs are available.....my prints look awesome......and the DVD's are selling like hot cakes on a Sunday morning at Cracker Barrel! I love my gallery web pages but the prints from the lab are nowhere near my standards so I use a pro-lab that I have been faithful to the past 5 years. I will send Dan Greene (via email) an order form which can be printed, filled out and dropped in the mail and orders will be shipped directly to you from the lab. My only order requirement is that orders are placed within 10 days of the gallery posting so I'll use Friday, June 5th as the deadline. If someone definitely needs a few extra days, just email me and let me know so I can keep track of what's coming in the mail. *****************Now....for the tournament special that teams are jumping on and are finding to be the best way for everyone to get a ton of their favorite photos. The Team-DVD is only $250! What does that get you? It gets ALL of these images in high-res format on a DVD (THAT'S ONLY $.26 EACH!) along with a print release for those pesky local labs and if you divide that out between 12 players on a team, it's just a little over $20 per parent. All I need is a count on how many you need burned, drop a check in the mail and I'll send them right out to Dan. The Cincinnati Jaguars (who I photographed before your game) wanted to make sure they could print from their DVD............yes.............and the print release will be in a file actually on the DVD itself. I'll also send Dan a written release that can be printed and taken with you to your local lab. *********************** In this gallery, in order to 'clear the dust from the air in some of the photos', I used their 'auto color' which gave the orange just a hair more pop than I will edit them to. Your photos will still look great, the orange will just be toned down.........not much........but a little. As for the game itself......man what a fun game to watch! My 8am game provided a baseball which skirted foul down the 3rd base line within a foot of where I was sitting and your game provided the same panic as I was focused on the runner dancing around 3rd base when I noticed that he hopped out of the way of a hard-hit grounder which, to see it thru a big lens is 100 times more terrifying. Anyhow, the one thing I definitely noticed was that your players were all having a great time and smiling the entire game............it's what little league baseball is all about. Classics Hammer Soccer : Finally! It was a frustrating week of fighting my computer's photo editing program but here they are. I'll add ordering info later............keep checking back. I use either 'all thumbs', 'traditional', or 'smugmug'. *********** I'M BACK WITH ORDERING INFORMATION ********************** I will email Jen Miller an order form (you probably still have one from Samatha's soccer team maybe, Jen?) which can be printed, filled out, and dropped in the mail to me. It is now Tuesday, June 9th and since I normally use a 10-day window for ordering, orders should be ready to go by the weekend of Friday, June 19th. If you have any questions AT ALL, please send me an email or feel free to give me a call and we can discuss it. The images here are very low-res (almost too small) but I had to go with what my computer would let me play with. The originals are VERY NICE large file images (I think the large file was part of my problem which was bad for me but is actually a good thing for the clients!) As for the images, you can order individually or I offer the entire gallery of high-res images put onto a Team-DVD for $250. Now.....is it $250 per DVD? No! How it works is like this. If a group of parents decide to split the $250 cost, you will each receive your own DVD. The more parents on board, the cheaper your "per-parent" cost drops and you basically create your own discount with more parents chipping in. I have sold quite a few to different teams and it seems to work well if you're looking to buy a lot of prints. Anyhow......that's for the team to decide and either way is fine with me. All the images here are very low-res and the originals are very nice high-res files. Final images will be cropped and adjustments made for the best quality print. Today is Monday, May 18th. Orders should be in by next Monday the 25th so as long as you mail them by that weekend, it will be fine. If you need a couple extra days, please let me know. I will email Andrea Hollander an order form which can be printed, filled out and dropped in an envelope to me. There are over 1400 images in this gallery. The best deal going (for everyone) is a $250 Team-DVD which is ALL the high-res images onto a DVD and the team can decide how to split the cost. Andrea can let me know how many copies she needs, I'll burn them and get them out right away. The DVD's are hot sellers and the best deal going in these lovely economic times this country is in right now and it's a way for me to bring down everyone's cost and give you my version of a 'bailout'. As for 'the jump shot' at 3rd base....I had it....but he jumped over of my line of focus I was tracking him with. I left the image in there anyhow just for the heck of it. ATLL Nationals in Hamilton 7-12-08 : Hi Nationals Players and Parents... Here are the photos from your first game. These images are very low resolution simply to make uploading very quick. All prints will be looked at carefully, more contrast added, cropped in a little tighter if possible, colors enhanced if needed....basically, each print will get my full attention before you see it. I will (probably) upload the high-res files sometime this week into a new gallery. Anyhow, my favorite part of the day was when the players showed up and kids from the 2007 Nationals' team recognized me and commented about the prints and posters they have from last year. Nothing like a little recognition, even if it is from little league ball players! To help you navigate this site, up in the right hand corner of the page, you will see a Style. "Traditional", "All Thumbs", and "Smugmug" work well. "Traditional" gives larger thumbnails which is the one I happen to like. I'll get order forms to the coach (and probably an email version also) for you to fill out for any prints you would like. My order time requirement is 2 weeks from the posting of final game galleries which would mean that by Thursday July 31st, your coach or I should have your order in. This keeps the photos fresh in everyone's minds (including the photographer's)...I can place one order and everyone will get their prints in a timely manner. I have a great time shooting little league baseball and this tournament has been fun to follow! ATLL Nationals in Hamilton 7-12-08

ATLL Nationals Game #2 in Hamilton 7-14-08 : Here is game #2 from Monday night. As the sun dropped and the lights came on, it basically turned into play time for me and my camera. With a low light level and moving subjects, there's really only so much that can be done so that is when I dropped behind the batters for some different angles to shoot from. As the light dropped, I also had to drop to ISO 1600 which is grainier but gives back the shutter speed and keep in mind that it will still make an excellent background photo for a Custom Poster. Anyhow, there were plenty of shots before the sun set and still some nice one's under the lights. What a great night it was for baseball and I was glad to be able to add some shots to your photo choices. Anderson vs Lakota Varsity (JV and Varsity, please see notes in this gallery) : Hello Parents, Kim Shepler.....thank you for inviting us to shoot! All the photos here are very low-res just to make uploading easier. I will email Kim Shepler and Diane Ayers an order form which you can print out and use. My only request when I shoot games is for orders to be placed no more than 2 weeks after final proofs are posted. If I get them up on Friday, all orders should be in by the weekend of March 14th. On another note......Brandon told me that he talked with a couple of the parents who had originally not wanted their player's photo taken because they thought there might be a hard sell to go with all this. I haven’t been able to get to any High School games so far, but I will be out tonight. Last night I had the privilege to shoot some Challenger Basketball. I was at the Anderson Snapdragons vs. Lakota games that consisted of three teams. JV, Varsity A, and Varsity B. Unfortunately this was for a friend of mine, so I can’t post up any images, but I wanted to share my experience. For those that don’t know the Challenger teams are for the Mentally Challenged. They also have a Baseball and Soccer league as well. I wasn’t sure what to excpect in terms of the level of play. The Varsity A teams really surprised me. I don’t think they would go out and give the Loveland Varsity team a run, but they really surprised me. In fact I think a few players could make their High School teams with just a bit of training. Winning and losing isn’t what this league is about. It’s about giving everyone equal time on the court no matter what your skill level. It’s about building confidence as the crowd from both teams cheers every basket. It helps these kids build much needed skills for the real world. If you know anyone involved with one of these teams please support them. These kids showed me that sports are supposed to be fun and that’s really what it’s all about isn’t it? Not stacking stats so colleges will look at you or killing your rival on their home court. It’s supposed to be fun." Anderson vs Lakota Varsity (JV and Varsity, please see notes in this gallery)

ATLL AA Reds 6-22-08 : Well, I can say I missed my share of games this year (had to go make some money with the camera)....and won't be at the last Friday or Saturday games next week (working on Friday and shooting a wedding on Saturday) so this gallery is it for the season. Also...the files I uploaded are very low-res. The originals of these look VERY nice. I hate uploading low-res shots because the quality is a bit off but it tied up my computer for about 2 minutes instead of a couple hours and I had another big photo order to work on so...anyways... My favorite sequence of shots is a 9-shot follow of Michael Wampler scooping a ball up at the pitcher's mound and beating the runner coming around third base to home plate with a dramatic slide. I just happened to be focused on Michael before the player hit the ball so it was just one of those circumstances where I made my own luck and it makes me look like I actually know what I'm doing as a photographer. I tried to leave the ominous skies in some of the photos as they went from sunny to black in a very short period of time and I'm glad we had enough sense to hang up the cleats on this one early because, after all, it's just a little league baseball game and no one needs to get hurt. It seemed a few of the players enjoyed the dry and dusty conditions of the field (kicking their feet all the way to their position on the field for the next inning)....anothe sequence shows 3 Reds' players covering second base waiting on a ball and it seems the A's player was still safe at the bag....there's a 4 shot sequence of a Reds' player making a great stop by diving for the ball at third...and there always seems to be a good one of 'lil Jack Lewis with a great expression on his face as he's trying to catch a ball with his eyes closed (which he did catch I might add). I also want to thank everyone for all the nice comments I've received about the photos in the galleries. I wish I had 7-8 more galleries in there this year but had prior committments with my camera gear. Next year, my plan is to try to keep my Saturday's clear of "all-day" events until the end of the season so I can watch my son play some ball with his teammates on Saturdays. I've already received some orders for prints this season....I'll email everyone an order form (since I had some questions about more orders while at the game) and you can always email me or give me a call if you have any questions (or just grab Sharon and she can answer them for you at a game.) ATTL Reds 5/10/08 : Well...after a long day of shooting, mixed with a nice case of bronchitis...after the first inning and a half, I was physically done and had to leave. I still had a 30-minute photo shoot to tackle about 7:15 that night before the sun went down and I needed to make sure I was able to finish that. So....there's still 94 images. I figured I'd concentrate on the defense and see what I could catch from the grass down the 3rd base line. The image #'s 2377, 2380, and 2381, Arlyn wanted coach to see his 'perfect form' in throwing the ball to 1st base after he scooped one up. Great job to the coaches for teaching the basics! I caught the shot of 'the scoop' but the runner was in the way of the photo so I deleted it. On another note, I've just started looking at the "Traditional" style up in the right hand corner and I like it. It has larger thumbnails and it just seems easier to look at. Just to make life just a tad easier today, all the images are very low res (which you can tell if you look close enough) but they took all of 20 seconds to upload and which meant I felt better 20 seconds later. My head is still foggy...my eyes still physically hurt...so I'm not adding any captions just yet, but I will say, the last photo caught my attention when I saw it just because it says "Man, how many runs is that team gonna score on us?!" all over it. ONE MORE NOTE: SHOT #2377 OF ARLYN AT 2ND BASE...I PUT A HIGH-RES, SHARPENED, COLOR ENHANCED SHOT NEXT TO IT TO SHOW WHAT CAN BE DONE WITH THE IMAGES AND THE DIFFERENCE IN JUST A PLAIN 'OL LOW-RES IMAGE AND ONE PRIOR TO PRINTING. YOU CAN LOOK AT IT AS A LARGE SIZE OR IN THE 'SLIDESHOW' AND SEE HOW NICE THEY CAN TURN OUT. I'M GONNA PRINT THIS ONE FOR MYSELF (AND MAYBE HIS BEDROOM WALL) AND IT MADE A NICE SCREENSAVER FOR THE WEEK. Enjoy...

ATLL Challenger Indians 6-7-08 : Hi Indians Fans, Sorry these took so long to get posted....my internet was giving me fits this past week...my program I normally use to edit photos was acting up, etc. So...these are not edited....not color corrected...not enhanced...pretty much straight out of my camera. All shots, if ordered, will be cropped in if possible and color enhanced to get the best possible print. Today is Father's Day...June 15th....I will get an emailed order form to your coach to distribute and if would like some prints, my only request is that orders be in within two weeks (Saturday, June 28th). Up in the right hand corner there is a "style". "Traditional" works well and gives larger thumbnails, along with the image# for ordering. ATLL Challenger Mets, Saturday May 31, 2008 : Welcome to the Mets' gallery. To help you navigate this site, up in the right hand corner you will see "style". I use either "Traditional", "Smugmug", or "All Thumbs". The slideshow also works very well. The slideshow is set to run on Medium speed. When you click "slideshow", move your curser and up in the left hand corner you will see the speed options. Click on the "fast" and it will move along faster. "All Thumbs" will give you all the photos on one page while "traditional" gives nice big thumbnails. I guess you'll just have to see which works best for you. There are a lot of shots in this gallery. All the proofs are very low-res (email size) to make uploading easier....the final prints are very nice high-quality hi-res prints. To see what normal hi-res prints look like, simply look at just about any of my other galleries. If it's a low-res gallery I have it noted but the majority were uploaded as hi-res. I will get an order form to your coach Steve Hunt to forward along to the parents and with today being June 1st, my only request is for orders to be turned into Steve no later than Saturday, June 14th and I will pick them up. ATTL AA Reds Game #1 On Opening Day 4-19-08 : Welcome to Game #1 of the ATLL AA Reds baseball season! Last season, I had one gallery with about 1400 photos in it. This year, to make things easier, I'll post a seperate gallery per game. The 'slideshow' feature up in the right hand corner, which I always discouraged anyone from using because of the absolutely awful image quality, has been improved and actually is worth using now. If you use the slideshow, up in the top left corner it will have a speed to use...it is set for medium (which I think is too slow) so I use 'fast'. Also, the "style" at the top of this page is best viewed at "all thumbs" or "smugmug". "All thumbs" places all the photos onto one page for easy viewing. I'll be placing captions on photos here and there so keep checking back. My first caption will be for the first photo in this gallery. I didn't see this until I had edited and posted these photos and was actually kicked back watching the nice slideshow when I finally saw this.....anyone who was at the game and saw my son take a wild pitch from an out of control pitcher (just kidding Jay!) to his right hand while batting...well, sometimes photographers make their own luck and this was one of those times. Take a look at where the ball is! Anyhow, this was game #1...I'll figure out who needs some camera time as the games progress. The action has definately picked up this year (I just need to capture more of it than I did this game) and I think it will be a lot of fun for everyone. Speaking of action...I normally rotate between the first and third base lines for some variety...I just hung by the fence down by first base this week for some reason. Third base offers the left handed batters some better photo coverage so I'll be sure to find me a soft spot down by third base on the 26th. Enjoy the gallery and the galleries to come. ATTL AA Reds Game #1 On Opening Day 4-19-08

ATTL Challenger Twins Saturday April 26th, 2008 : Well, I can always tell how much fun I'm having by the # of photos I shoot at a game or event. At your game...in the 2 hours I was there, I shot almost 1100 photos and actually ended up posting 725! I obviously had a blast! To navigate this site, I will give you a couple tips. Up in the right hand corner there is a "style". I use either "Smugmug" or (to put everything on a single page), use "All Thumbs". For a gallery of this size, "All Thumbs" is probably the best choice. Also, the slideshow feature works pretty nicely. If you click "slideshow" and it begins, then move your curser and up in the left hand corner you will see "speed". It is set for medium but I click "fast" which I think is a better speed. I just timed the slideshow at 15 images per minute which is about 45minutes to watch (which is why I recommend the "all thumbs". All the photos uploaded are very low-resolution (about email size). This way, I was able to upload 725 images in about 15 minutes instead of 15 hours. The original images are VERY HIGH QUALITY and you can see high-res images by clicking on just about any other gallery on my site. Please feel free to look around at other galleries while you're here. My "Family Portrait" gallery (in the Portraits category) and the "Check Out Where I've Been" gallery (in the Travel) category will give you a closer look into the shooting style that I love so much. I will send an email attachment to your coach or to Ryan Woefel with an order form if anyone would like to have some prints. MY ONLY REQUEST is that I receive all orders by Sunday, May 11th (two weeks from today) so that I can keep everyone's order together and will not have to charge anyone an individual shipping charge. I have cut my print prices in half and decided to come out and shoot this at no charge or obligation to buy as a way to give back to our community and I'm very glad that I did. If a player from your team did not make it to the game, I will be photographing the "Mets" next week, 5/3 when they play against your "Twins" and will be happy to include the player in my shots and will simply add the photos at the end of this gallery. ATLL Opening Day Ceremony : Special thanks to friend, and fellow photographer, Barb Trimble for helping shoot the events of the morning. Also, thank you to Brandon Severn, another friend and photographer, for staying at my table in the vendor area so that I could wander around with my camera. Kudos to you both! The rain held off, the sun eventually came out and I think everyone had a great time. Opening Day, whether in the big leagues or little league, is a great day!

ATLL Nationals---Saturday July 14, 2007 : First of all, I wanted to thank you all for inviting me to come out and photograph the games over the weekend. I had a blast (and even met a very interesting fan hanging around the fence area by me...and yes I took his photograph which you have probably already seen in this gallery)! The photos on the gallery are a smaller file and do not represent the quality of the finished photograph. I lowered the image quality on the gallery just a tad to make uploading about 10 times quicker. I just compared a gallery shot to the original, adjusted the contrast and bumped the color saturation up a bit and the difference is very obvious. Photos are printed by a professional lab on professional paper (not an inkjet printer!) and I get all my photos 'lustre coated' which helps protect them and keep the finger prints off of them. Every photograph is color enhanced prior to printing and if I can crop it a little tighter, I will. A note about ordering. Please use the IMAGE #...not the shot # above the photograph. If you want to, you can put the shot # in ( ) next to the IMAGE# just so I can find it a little faster. Posters have their own 'style'. Ex..."StandOut" or "OutOfTheBox"...use this on your order form. If you have any questions at all...PLEASE email me and we can clear up any confusion prior to ordering. Stop by my other galleries when you get a chance. Cardinal Soccer Action 5/13/07 and 6/3/07 : Welcome to the action packed Cardinal Soccer gallery photographed Sunday 5/13/2007. A special thank you to Chris Meisman for inviting me to hang out in the grass by the goalie nets, with my camera, tracking a very fast paced and physical soccer match. I had a blast...I have a very strange farmer's tan across the middle of my forehead and my elbows have grass embedded in them from lying on ground for a quarter of the game. U-10 Cardinal Premier

Tee Ball 2007 : Saturday, June 30th. "........rounding third and headed for home." From all the players and parents, "THANKS COACH!" Saturday, June 23rd--What an absolutely perfect morning for little league baseball! We started the game with a "new kid on the block". Meet Sophie...Coach Lewis's daughter. She even does a "happy dance" when she reaches 1st base. The kids had fun. Today's photos begin at shot #588 if you like to jump ahead. The field seemed a little wet so the dust wasn't flyin' which just meant it would be mud that we try to get out of those uniforms this week. As usual, all the coaches did a fantastic job of encouraging the kids, teaching the "fun"damentals of baseball, and just being all around great guys to have around. We do appreciate all the work you put in! So...once again...it's time to PLAY BALL! SATURDAY, JUNE 9TH--THERE WAS SOME FAST ACTION ON THE HARD PLAYING FIELD. I STAYED OFF THE FIELD AND SAT IN MY CHAIR IN MY GOOD CLOTHES BECAUSE I HAD TO LEAVE TO PHOTOGRAPH A WEDDING THAT DAY. THE KIDS HAD FUN AND I SAW A COUPLE HITS ABOUT TAKE THE COACHES HEAD OFF! I'M GONNA TRY MY BEST TO MAKE IT ON THE 23RD. GOT MY LENS BACK FROM THE REPAIR SHOP AND ADDED AN EXTENDER ONTO IT SO I'M DYIN' TO TRY 'ER OUT. SATURDAY JUNE 2ND--SHOTS FOR TODAY BEGIN AT IMAGE# 411. IT WAS A HOT DAY ON THE FIELD...THE DIRT WAS FLYIN', THE KIDS (AND PARENTS) ENJOYED A LOT OF ACTION AND EVERYONE HAD LAUNDRY TO DO AFTER THIS ONE! THE TEAM ENDED UP WINNING THE STATE CUP CHAMPIONSHIP AND NEEDLESS TO SAY, I SOLD A LOT OF POSTERS. POSTERS ARE SIZE 16X20 AND MY SON HAS HIS HANGING OVER HIS BED. I HAVE IT IN A $5 HARD-PLASTIC SLIP-IN COVER WHICH KEEPS IT PROTECTED AND MAKES THE COLORS REALLY STAND OUT. Thanks for stopping by for some photos of our favorite 2007 "Sharks" t-ball team. From a photographer's stand point, T-Ball is "portraiture with a baseball backdrop" and I love every second of watching this game through my lens. After shooting a couple games and looking back through the gallery, I have taken note of which players need a little more "camera time" (and of course my kid gets too much). We still have plenty of games remaining and, rest assured, I'll do my best to balance out the photos for all the parents. I think you will find that as the day went on, the photos get better and better. All photos in the galleries are low-res files sized for web-viewing and do not represent the high-quality final print you will receive from your order.
